Wildlife Rehabilitation Internship

WCNC is pleased to offer hands-on internships for the 2026 season in our busy wildlife rehabilitation clinic.

Interns will: 

  1. Gain hands-on experience in wildlife rehabilitation
  2. Build animal care skills and knowledge relevant to careers in veterinary medicine and wildlife conservation
  3. Complete a project of their choosing to benefit WCNC’s rehab clinic operations

Development CoordinatoR

The Wildlife Center of the North Coast (WCNC) is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator to support our fundraising, donor relations, and communications efforts. This position plays an essential role in ensuring WCNC has the resources needed to carry out our mission of wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, and education along Oregon’s North Coast.

This is a hands-on, collaborative role ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys connecting with donors, volunteers, and the community. The Development Coordinator manages core development and communications tasks while assisting with seasonal campaigns and special events throughout the year.

What You’ll Do

  • Process donations and ensure timely, thoughtful donor acknowledgements

  • Respond to donor inquiries and provide excellent customer service

  • Maintain accurate donor records in our CRM (Bloomerang preferred)

  • Assist with fundraising initiatives such as appeals, memberships, supply drives, and sponsor programs

  • Support donor visits, tours, and select on-site events

  • Manage social media posting and assist with content creation

  • Support website updates and email newsletters

  • Help raise public awareness through local media and community partnerships

  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising and outreach events

  • Coordinate logistics including volunteers, materials, registration, vendors, and auction items

  • Track and manage inventory of branded merchandise and coordinate reorders

  • Assist with basic budget tracking and internal reporting

  • Prepare materials for committees and the Board as requested

  • Participate in team meetings and support organizational needs as they arise
